<p>Provided is a vehicle-speed audible-reporting device which enables a driver to perform an operation for causing the current speed of travel to be audibly reported while continuing to grasp the rim of the steering wheel. This vehicle-speed audible-reporting device has a vehicle-speed detection unit (2) for detecting the speed of travel of the vehicle, a processing unit (4) for outputting an audio signal corresponding to the speed of travel when an operation button (3) is pressed, and a sound-generation unit (6) for outputting, through a speaker (5), sound corresponding to the audio signal from the processing unit (4). The operation button (3) is positioned on the front surface of a steering wheel (8) spoke (9) near the rim (10) of the steering wheel (8) of the vehicle, and it is possible for the driver to press the operation button (3) while continuing to grasp the rim (10) of the steering wheel (8), and without visually verifying the location of the operation button (3).</p> |
