The digital signal processor (14) samples the quantization signal and demodulates the quantization signal using a polarization separation digital signal processing algorithm, and outputs a demodulated signal. If the fluctuations in the phase and the amplitude of the demodulated signal are greater than a predetermined value, the control circuit (15) stops the processing performed by the digital signal processor (14) using the polarization separation digital signal processing algorithm and changes the initial value of the filter coefficient, and then starts the processing performed using the polarization separation digital signal processing algorithm.
