<p>Provided is a peroxide indicator with excellent visibility which reacts at a given peroxide concentration under given sterilization conditions to change in color and thereby make it possible to detect the peroxide. The indicator contains an inorganic compound as the color-changing component and hence is superior to conventional indicators containing an organic compound as the color-changing component in weatherability, light resistance, and storage stability, and distinctly changes in color into any desired color tone at any desired rate. The peroxide indicator (1) contains a powdery metal sulfide that changes in color upon reaction with a peroxide, and comprises a base (2) and a color-changing layer (3) which contains the metal sulfide, the color-changing layer (3) having been formed on at least some of the surface of the base (2).</p> |
