PURPOSE: A device with a touch display and a touch malfunction prevention method thereof are provided to improve usability by preventing malfunction which is caused by a user's unintended touch. CONSTITUTION: A touch detection unit (10) detects a user's touch event which is input to a touch display (14). A control unit (12) activates or inactivates a virtual bezel area on the touch display. The control unit cancels the touch event in case the touch event, which is detected in the virtual area, corresponds to the touch event which causes the malfunction of a device when the bezel area is activated. The virtual bezel area is a virtual area which is generated on the edge of the touch display; where the virtual bezel is independent of the physical bezel area formed on the outside of the touch display, and stores the touch display.
