This game system may contain at least a time-limit-setting unit and a use control unit, but is not necessarily limited thereto. The time-limit-setting unit may be configured in a manner so a use time limit in a game is associated with each type of character and recorded in a character basic information recording unit, thus setting the use time limit for each type of character. The use control unit may be configured in a manner so as to halt the use of a character for which the use time limit has been exceeded among the characters recorded by the character basin information recording unit.
