A data packet comprising a header section and content section is generated. The image data-related information, such as parallax information, is inserted in the content section of the data packet. Identification information for identifying the type of related information is inserted in the header section of the data packet. The data packet is associated with the image data and sent to an external device. Image data-related information, such as parallax information, can thus be efficiently sent to an external device. |
