The present invention relates to the field of mobile terminals, and disclosed are a mobile terminal and a sound chamber adjusting method. The mobile terminal comprises: a decoding module (110), used for decoding an audio file into an audio signal; a control module (140), used for issuing a control signal according to a frequency domain analysis result of the audio signal; a volume-variable sound chamber (130), used for adjusting the volume of the volume-variable sound chamber (130) according to the control signal. In the present invention, a volume-variable sound chamber is provided in advance, then frequency domain analysis is performed on an audio signal, and the volume of the sound chamber is adjusted according to a frequency domain analysis result, so that the tone quality of the mobile terminal is greatly improved.
