Provided is a wireless communication device for transmission, through a data area resource, of a reference signal for the purpose of a wireless communication terminal to measure received power from a communication cell, the device being provided with: a controller for determining a data area resource in which to place a reference signal unique to a wireless communication terminal; and a wireless transmission part for transmitting the reference signal through the resource decided upon by the controller. A wireless communication device for transmission of a reference signal for the purpose of a wireless communication terminal to measure received power from a communication cell can be provided thereby.
