Provided are a high-torque induction motor, an electric drive system, and an electric vehicle comprising both. The induction motor comprises a rotor (130) having a squirrel cage conductor configured by a plurality of slots provided in a rotor iron core (137), conductive bars buried inside the slots, and conductive end rings (134) that short-circuit these bars at both end surfaces in the axial direction. The induction motor is configured such that the squirrel cage conductor short-circuits, using the end rings, a first bar that interlinks mainly with a fundamental wave magnetic flux and a second bar that interlinks mainly a third harmonic wave component.
