PURPOSE: A control method of a mobile communications terminal for reducing voice call delay and a mobile communications terminal using the same are provided to reduce voice call connection delay which occurs when performing a voice call using a circuit switched fallback (CSFB). CONSTITUTION: A second mobile communications modem (120) performs voice communications through a circuit switching (CS) network using a second mobile communications method which is a type of legacy mobile communications types existing before a first mobile communications method. If a user starts to input a key for voice call connection, a control unit (130) searches a cell of a communications network using the second mobile communications method before a call key or a send key are inputted by the user. If a connectable cell is found among searched cells, the control unit performs redirection to the connectable cell.
