PURPOSE: A quarter pillar joining structure of a vehicle for improving strength is provided to change a structure of a gas lift mounting bracket and to improve an area of an overlapped portion of panels, thereby improving the strength of a quarter pillar. CONSTITUTION: A quarter pillar joining structure of a vehicle for improving strength comprises a wheel house upper panel(12), a package tray side panel(14), a package tray member panel, a gas lift mounting bracket(21), and a ball joint(22). The wheel house upper panel is arranged on the top of a wheel house. A part of the lower part of the package tray side panel is welded to the wheel house upper panel. The rest of the lower part of the package tray side panel is welded to the package tray member panel. The lateral surface of the gas lift mounting bracket is joined to the tray package side panel. The lower part of the gas lift mounting bracket is welded to the wheel house upper panel. The ball joint is mounted in the lateral surface of a frame unit(21a) of the gas lift mounting bracket and connected to a gas lift for opening a trunk lid. |
