Provided is a work machine capable of discharging exhaust gas at a position above a counterweight, even if installation space for an exhaust pipe cannot be secured upon a revolving body or on the upper surface of the counterweight, and capable of suppressing increases in counterweight temperature caused by the exhaust gas. This invention comprises a muffler (10) to which the exhaust gas from an engine is guided and a tail pipe (11) connected to this muffler (10), is configured such that a passage (7a) into which the tail pipe (11) is inserted is formed in a counterweight (7), and is configured so as to comprise: an exhaust pipe holding member (12) attached to the outside surface of the counterweight (7),and having a passage (12a) connected to the passage (7a) in the counterweight (7), into which the tail pipe (11) is inserted; and an exhaust pipe (13) that is held by the exhaust pipe holding member (12), is vertically installed, and has a lower section wherein the tail pipe (11) is inserted, and an upper section having an exhaust port (13a) formed therein, which discharges the exhaust gas guided via the tail pipe (11). |
