The invention describes an external fixator consisting of a curved elastic bar substantially in the shape of a C, which serves to immobilize pelvic fractures. It also describes a turnbuckle for opening said external fixator, which compromises two lateral support elements for the ends of the external fixator and one central support element for the central part of the external fixator, wherein the central support element is longitudinally displaceable along a line perpendicular to the connection line between said lateral support elements.
