CMOS IMAGE SENSOR PIXEL AND CONTROL TIMING THEREFOR

A CMOS image sensor pixel and control timing therefor are provided. In the CMOS image sensor pixel array, four pixels are arranged into a 2*2 pixel array to serve as a group of pixel units. Two pixels in a first column and a second column respectively share a selection transistor, a source following transistor, a reset transistor and a floating diffusion region in the columns. The first column and the second column are arranged in a staggered manner. Multiple groups of pixel units are arranged vertically and horizontally to form a two-dimensional pixel array. In the pixel array, a first layer of metal wiring is a power control line and a signal output line, and is also a column controller timing control line; and the second layer of metal wiring is a row decoder timing output control line. The pixel structure array can improve the light utilization efficiency of a small-area pixel sensor so as to improve the sensitivity, thereby effectively improving the image quality of the small-area pixel image sensor.
