Provided are an information transmission method and device. The method includes: UE reports a CQI value to an eNB; the UE receives an MCS value sent from the eNB, wherein the MCS value is determined by the eNB according to the CQI value; and the UE receives PDSCH data according to the MCS value, wherein the CQI value and the MCS value are determined according to a second group of tables, and the modulation method able to be supported by the second group of tables is higher than 64 QAM. The embodiments of the present invention can improve system performance and reduce feedback resource waste.
