An apparatus, a method, a system and a computer program for estimating a number of people within a location is provided. The estimation comprises obtaining a plurality of estimates of the number of mobile transmitters and respective estimates of the number of people within a first location during a first period of time, and determining a mapping function providing a mapping between an estimate of the number of mobile transmitters at a location and an estimate of the number of people at the location on basis of the plurality of estimates of the number of mobile transmitters and the respective plurality of estimates of the number of people for determination of a second estimate of the number of people within a second location during a second period of time on basis of a second estimate of the number of mobile transmitters obtained at the second location during the second period of time, wherein an estimate of the number of mobile transmitters comprises indications of the number of mobile transmitters of one or more different types.
