The input system (50) in one aspect of the present invention is provided with a pen input device (40) and a light-emitting pen (3), the pen input device (40) being provided with: a light-guide plate (1) in which the light of the pen (3) is propagated through the interior; an optical member (60) for removing light from the light-guide plate (1) to modify the optical path thereof; and imaging units (10, 20) for capturing light in which the optical path has been changed by the optical member (60) in mutually differing locations. The optical member (60) is bonded and secured to the side surface or rear surface of the light-guide plate (1).
