<p>PURPOSE: A system for controlling an indoor environment by using a remote control including the function to measure indoor air quality is provided to maintain indoor air quality desired by a user by using a remote control arranged near the user, which measures the air quality around the user. CONSTITUTION: A system for controlling an indoor environment by using a remote control including the function to measure indoor air quality includes a remote control (100), a central control unit (200), and a device (300). The remote control includes a sensor unit (110), a transceiver (130), and an input unit (150). The input unit includes a ventilation mode selection key with a normal ventilation mode and an automatic ventilation mode. The central control unit operates a relevant device on a real time basis depending on real-time specific data beyond the range of reference data after comparing the measured data transmitted from the remote control with the reference data when the normal ventilation mode is selected from the ventilation mode selection key of the remote control. The central control unit operates a relevant device for a determined time at the time period much beyond the range of the reference data after calculating the average of the specific data for each time period for a determined time by using the measured data stored in a database when the automatic ventilation mode is selected from the ventilation mode selection key of the remote control. The device is operated depending on the control signal of the central control unit and improves the indoor air quality so that the specific data may be included in the range of the reference data.
