The present invention provides a compound having cholinergic muscarinic M1 receptor positive allosteric modulator activity, that is useful as a drug for preventing or treating Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia, pain, sleep disorders, and the like. The present invention pertains to a compound expressed by formula (I) or a salt thereof. (In the formula, R1 represents an optionally substituted amino group, or an optionally substituted cyclic amino group; R2 and R3 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substitution group; X represents -CH= or -N=; and ring A represents an optionally substituted 5 through 10 membered ring.)
