This method for producing acrylonitrile is characterized by including a gas-phase contact ammoxidation step for causing a starting material gas containing propylene, molecular oxygen, and ammonia to contact a fluidized bed catalyst to cause gas-phase contact ammoxidation, thus obtaining acrylonitrile, the fluidized bed catalyst being a catalyst containing molybdenum and bismuth, and the gas-phase contact ammoxidation step being performed while maintaining the amount of ammonia adsorption per specific surface area (m2/g) of the fluidized bed catalyst in the range of 0.05-0.6 mumol/m2. By means of the method for producing acrylonitrile, it is possible to stably maintain a high yield of acrylonitrile over the long term. |
