The present invention relates to a novel pharmaceutical composition which is in syrup form. This novel composition comprises: modafinil, in the form of its S enantiomer, - excipients, sugar, purified water. Use of the pharmaceutical composition in cases where increased vigilance over a brief period of time is required in the person taking said pharmaceutical composition and for children suffering from ADHD.
