A dishwasher is provided to prevent deterioration of water quality caused by inclined accumulation within a dirt collecting filter, and facilitate inflow of washing water to a washing water reservoir in a sump during washing process, since the washing water stored in the water reservoir can flow to a filter mounting part and to the back side of a filter without being interrupted by flow resistance. A dishwasher comprises a tub, a nozzle, a wash pump, a filter, a sump housing(300), and a washing water guide. The tub receives dishes. The nozzle sprays washing water towards the dishes from the tub. The wash pump supplies washing water to the nozzle. The filter filters dirt contained in the washing water. The sump housing comprises a washing water reservoir(310) for containing washing water pumped by the wash pump, and a filter mounting part(320) for mounting the filter. The washing water guide, which is provided in one side where the washing water reservoir and filter mounting part are in communication, guides the washing water in the reservoir to the filter mounting part. The filter mounting part includes a drain port(321) for draining the washing water, and a cylindrical wall(323) whose one sidewall is being opened at least more than half. |
