PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for the distance of a roll in a rolling machine are provided to directly measure the distance to the roll based on the resolution of roll images obtained on a jig. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring the distance of a roll in a rolling machine comprises an image obtaining module(202) and a roll distance calculating module(203). The image obtaining module obtains roll images containing the axial images of upper and lower rolls. The roll distance calculating module calculates the distance of a roll which is a distance from a reference line vertically extended from a reference bar and to the center of a jig based on the resolution of the obtained roll images. |
