摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic clutch that achieves improvement in attraction force of a rotor to an armature, generated by the excitation of an electromagnetic coil, by forming the armature into a laminated structure of armature plates.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic clutch includes: a rotor 1 in which an electromagnetic coil 16 is embedded; and an armature 2 that is disposed facing the rotor 1 and that is adhered to the rotor 1 by means of the magnetic force of the electromagnetic coil 16. By means of the magnetic excitation of the electromagnetic coil 16, when the rotor 1 and the armature 2 are not in contact, a magnetic circuit M1 is formed from the rotor 1 through a first armature plate 21, an intermediate layer 22, a second armature plate 23, the intermediate layer 22 and the first armature plate 21 to return to the rotor 1. When rotor 1 and the armature 2 are in contact, a magnetic circuit M2 is formed from the rotor 1 through the first armature plate 21, a portion 13a between slits 14 neighboring the rotor 1 and the first armature plate 21 to return to the rotor 1.
