PURPOSE: A twin roll thin plate casting method for reducing a surface scale is provided to minimize exfoliation of the surface scale of a board material by performing two-stage rolling with controlled exit side temperature and pressing amount when individually rolling the thin plate using a pair of casing rolls. CONSTITUTION: A twin roll thin plate casting method comprises: a step of forming a thin plate(7) by injecting molten steel(4) between a pair of casting rolls(3) which rotates in opposite directions; a step of passing the thin plate through a shielding chamber(8) which blocks contact with outside air; a step of primarily rolling the thin plate with a first roller; and a step of secondarily rolling the thin plate with a second roller. In the step of secondary rolling, the exit side temperature of the second roller is below 750 deg. C. In the step of secondary rolling, the pressing amount is 5-20%. In the step of secondary rolling, the exit side temperature of the first roller is below 950 deg. C. In the step of primary rolling, the pressing amount is 20-40%. The total amount of pressing of the step of primary and secondary rolling is 25-50%. |
