PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin molding, which simultaneously satisfies impregnation nature and productivity, prevents molten resin from flowing out, and can obtain the desired fiber weight content, and can be carried out inexpensively.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin molding includes a step of producing a preform by opening continuous reinforced fibers, passing the fibers through a thermoplastic resin tank with its internal pressure being ≥0.1 MPa for ensuring the continuous impregnation of the thermoplastic resin, pressing the fibers by a shape-imparting roller and cooling and solidifying the fibers, and cutting the fibers, a step of accumulating the preforms in a heat-resistant mold release article which is formed of at least a bottom surface and side surfaces with its aperture ratio being 10-90%, and having a melting point higher than a softening point or a melting point of the thermoplastic resin, a step of melting the thermoplastic resin of the preform via the heat-resistant mold release article at a temperature higher than the softening point or the melting point of the thermoplastic resin, and a step of pressurizing, cooling and solidifying the accumulated preforms at the temperature below the softening point or the melting point of the thermoplastic resin, and at the pressure of ≥2 MPa by using a mold having a diameter larger by 1-80 mm than a diameter of the bottom surface of the heat-resistant mold release article. |
