PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user with information on a congestion state of an arbitrary area designated by the user.SOLUTION: In a communication system 1: a terminal 10 displays map information, and transmits information on an area in the map information to servers 20 and 40 when the area is designated by an input signal; the servers 20 and 40 transmits the area information to a base station 60 covering at least part of the area; the base station 60 transmits the area information to a mobile station 70 located within a cover area of the base station 60; the mobile station 70 acquires location information on the mobile station 70, and transmits response information to the base station 60 when determining that the mobile station 70 is within the area on the basis of the area information and location information; the base station 60 transmits the response information to the servers 20 and 40; the servers 20 and 40 calculates the number of mobile stations 70 located within the area on the basis of the response information, and transmits information on the number of the mobile stations 70 to the terminal 10. |
