PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide information useful for diagnosis or the like by combining an acoustic velocity distribution and information obtained by photoacoustics.SOLUTION: A laser unit 13 emits light to be irradiated to a subject. A probe 11 detects an acoustic wave from inside the subject. An acoustic velocity distribution generation means 27 obtains an acoustic velocity distribution of the acoustic wave progressing inside the subject based on the acoustic wave detected by the probe 11. A photoacoustic image generation means 25 generates a photoacoustic image based on a photoacoustic signal. A malignancy distribution image generation means 28 generates a malignancy distribution image indicating a distribution of a region where malignancy is considered to be high based on the photoacoustic image and the acoustic velocity distribution inside the subject. |
