PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device and an image forming apparatus capable of preventing co-feeding of a sheet and the occurrence of damage.SOLUTION: Sub-pads 23 for abutting on a sheet when pushing down a separation pad 21 by the sheet of passing while curving along a sheet carrying passage against energizing force by an energizing part, are arranged on both sides in the width direction of the separation pad 21 energized in the direction of being brought into pressure contact with a feed roller 2 and a feed rolling device 22. Rib members 91 for supporting the sheet by being arranged to be energized to project above the sub-pad 23, pushed down by the passing sheet when the sheet passes through the sheet carrying passage while pushing down the separation pad 21 and moving to a position where the sheet abuts on the sub-pad 23, are arranged on both sides in the width direction of the sub-pad 23. |
