PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency during working, and to facilitate miniaturization in a clutch actuator that operates a release mechanism.SOLUTION: This actuator for driving a release mechanism of a clutch includes: an electric motor 3; an output member 6; a ball screw mechanism 4; and a ball lock mechanism 5. The output member 6 is connected to the release mechanism 2 and movable in an operating direction of the release mechanism 2. The ball screw mechanism 4 converts the rotation of the electric motor 3 into linear motion to move the output member 6. The ball lock mechanism 5 is arranged coaxially with the ball screw mechanism 4, transmits a driving force from the ball screw mechanism 4 to the output member 6, and has a self-lock mechanism against a reverse driving force from the release mechanism 2. |
