PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce charging unevenness attributed to layer thickness unevenness of a charged body in a charging device.SOLUTION: In a charging device 80 for charging a surface of a photoreceptor drum 21 to a preliminarily set electrical potential, a charging roll 81 has a roll main body 81a thereof supported by a pair of shafts 81b, 81b on both ends in the shaft direction of the photoreceptor drum 21, and thereby is a shaftless structure having no shaft in the center in the shaft direction of the roll main body 81a. Positions of both end parts in the shaft direction of the roll main body 81a of the charging roll 81 are shifted with each other in a direction crossing the shaft direction. Thereby, the shape of the roll main body 81a is deformed according to a distribution of thickness of a photosensitive layer in the shaft direction of the photoreceptor drum 21 so that an electrical potential in the shaft direction of the photoreceptor drum 21 is even at time of developing. |
