摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a method of manufacturing a composition for positive electrode mixture layer formation which allows the suppression of excessive increase in viscosity and gelation; and a method of manufacturing a lithium ion secondary battery by use of the composition for positive electrode mixture layer formation.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a composition for positive electrode mixture layer formation according to the invention comprises: (1) a step of mixing a positive electrode active material and a phosphoric acid or a phosphate compound to form a mixture, and a step of mixing the mixture with a binder to form the composition, or (2) a step of forming a mixture including a positive electrode active material and a binder, and mixing the mixture with a phosphoric acid or a phosphate compound to form the composition. The composition for positive electrode mixture layer formation includes a solvent and is controlled to have a viscosity of 15000 mPa s or less. A method of manufacturing a lithium ion secondary battery according to the invention comprises using a positive electrode manufactured by using a composition for positive electrode mixture layer formation, the composition prepared according to the method of manufacturing a composition for positive electrode mixture layer formation according to the invention.
