PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for precisely forming a pattern which is large in size in a direction extended along a stripe pattern.SOLUTION: A printer 10 comprises: a transfer part 19 for transferring a pattern of a printing plate 17 on a substrate W which is a printed body; a stage 22 for holding the substrate W; a main-scanning-direction driving part 25a for moving the stage 22 relative to a printing cylinder 14 in a main scanning direction which orthogonally crosses a rotation axis 141 of the printing cylinder 14. In the transfer part 19, the printing plate 17 where projections Tb representing a predetermined stripe pattern PT are formed is attached to the printing cylinder 14 so that the extending direction of the stripe orthogonally crosses the rotation axis 141 of the printing cylinder 14 and the stripe covers the entire outer peripheral surface of the printing cylinder 14. The pattern is transferred when the printing plate 17 to which coating liquid is supplied is pressed against the substrate W while continuously rotating the printing cylinder 14.
