PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately reduce shock on a mirror regardless of the speed at which the mirror is driven.SOLUTION: A mirror buffer for a camera comprises: a mirror stopping member 104 configured to position the mirror 101 by contacting, in an observing position, the mirror 101 moved between the observing position and a photographing position; buffering members 102 and 103 supporting the mirror stopping member 104 and configured to change the position of the mirror stopping member 104 by rotating around the rotation axis thereof; and a control section configured to control rotation of the buffering members 102 and 103 such that when the mirror 101 contacts the mirror stopping member 104, the mirror stopping member 104 is moved by a predetermined amount in a moving direction at a predetermined speed. |
