PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a pump to efficiently unload cargo, while reducing equipment cost required for unloading.SOLUTION: An unloader ship 10 for unloading cargo S loaded on a bulk carrier 1 includes an underwater pump 3 for sucking the cargo S, and a water pump 4 for supplying water W to a hold. The water pump 4 supplies the hold 2 with water, and the underwater pump 3 sucks the cargo S mixed in the water W to be unloaded. The underwater pump 3 is used to smoothly unload the cargo S, irrespective of the height from the bottom of the hold 2 to a deck. No pump station is required for unloading in the bulk carrier 1, thereby reducing equipment cost for installation thereof. |
