PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mental state identification device and method for determining whether or not self-confidence is present or utterance is thoughtful, by using the voice of a general speaker as an object.SOLUTION: The mental state identification device includes: a voice acceptance part for receiving the utterance voice of the speaker; an acoustic feature extraction part for extracting acoustic characteristics from voice data received by the voice acceptance part; a voice recognition part for converting a voice waveform signal into a character string from voice data received by the voice acceptance part; a linguistic characteristic extraction part for extracting linguistic characteristics from the character string converted by the voice recognition part; a mental state identification part for identifying the mental state of the speaker from the linguistic characteristics extracted by the linguistic characteristic extraction part and the acoustic characteristics extracted by the acoustic characteristic extraction part; and a display part for displaying the mental state identified by the mental state identification part. The mental state of the speaker is identified, and the mental state is displayed. |
