PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultra-low temperature freezer that can effectively make a displacer move reciprocatingly without increasing the number of components or large-sizing outside dimensions.SOLUTION: An ultra-low temperature freezer 1 includes: a cylinder 2; a displacer 3 capable of moving reciprocatingly to the cylinder 2; a driving unit 5 for driving a rotary axis 4 having an axial direction in a reciprocating direction of the displacer 3; and a conversion unit for converting a rotation of the rotation axis 4 to a reciprocating motion. The conversion unit is screw means comprising a combination of a male screw 3a and a female screw 2a, and the male screw 3a is a portion of the displacer 3. |
