PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing acrylic acid in high yield by efficiently promoting, in a recovery step of acrylic acid, decomposition of Michael adducts while suppressing precipitation of maleic acid.SOLUTION: A method for producing acrylic acid includes: (a) the collection step of collecting an acrylic acid-containing gas obtained by catalytically reacting a raw gas in a gas phase as an acrylic acid solution; (b) a crystallization and purification step of separating crystals obtained by crystallizing acrylic acid in the acrylic acid solution from a residual mother liquid; and (c) the step of decomposing at least a part of the Michael adducts included in the residual mother liquid in the form of a reaction distillation. An acrylic acid-containing distillate produced by decomposing the Michael adducts in the decomposition step (c) is supplied to the collection step (a). |
