PURPOSE: A side airbag for a vehicle is provided to be installed in a rapid and convenient manner without using screw drivers as fastening means such as bolt and nuts are not used in installing the airbag in a seat. CONSTITUTION: A side airbag for a vehicle assembles and installs an airbag module assembly(300) in a mounting bracket(200). The mounting bracket is adhered to a seat frame(110) side of a seat back. The airbag module assembly comprises an inflator(310), a retainer ring(320), an air cushion and a cover(330). In a mounting hole, a fitting hole of a large caliber and a hanging ball(212) of a small caliber are put through and connected on the upper and lower ends of the mounting bracket. A lock device(400) has a hanging head(410) on the front end so that the retainer ring supporting the inflator is caught by the hanging ball through the fitting hole. The airbag module assembly is set up in the mounting bracket simply and conveniently. |
