PURPOSE: A method for adaptive display compensation and a device thereof are provided to adaptively and repeatedly perform display compensation sequences until a display is successfully compensated. CONSTITUTION: A compensation system operates a display of a device in a test chamber and collects display performance data during the operation of the display (62). The compensation system compares the display performance data with target performance data (66). If extracted display performance statistics is out of an acceptable range for target data, the compensation system changes display control settings and increases a compensation sequence index (70). A compensation computing equipment selects a following compensation sequence or the compensation system takes a proper action for a defective display (72,74).
