Certain embodiments provide a method of managing data in fields of an electronic form. The method includes identifying a target field in the electronic form as being subject to pre-fill; receiving pre-fill data for the target field from an external source; displaying the received pre-fill data in the target field; and providing a user with selectable options to accept or reject the pre-fill data displayed in the target field. Further processing involves removing the selectable options when the user accepts the pre-filled data in the target field; removing the pre-filled data in the target field and accepting new data from the user for the target field when the user rejects the pre-fill data; and recording a result of one of the selectable options.
