PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaped article to be applied to a body surface, a method for using the same, and a method for preparing the same.SOLUTION: There are provided a method for using a shaped article including at least one skeleton-forming agent that are not based on protein-based substances, one or more optionally added active substances, and one or more also optionally added auxiliary substances as a shaped article to be applied to a body surface; a method for preparing the skeleton-forming agent and a new shaped article. The shaped article includes one polysaccharide or a derivative thereof, such as sodium alginate.
