PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a live wire demarcating tool capable of demarcating a live wire with good operation efficiency by arranging an electric wire grip portion in a swingable state at one end of a telescopic rod, and also preventing trouble from occurring due to careless swing operation of the electric wire grip portion.SOLUTION: In a live wire demarcating tool 1, a first electric wire grip portion 3 is arranged at one end of a rod 2 and a second electric wire grip portion 4 is arranged at the other end of the rod 2. The live wire demarcating tool 1 is configured to draw both the electric wire grip portions to each other. First connecting means 6 that connects a grip mechanism 5 of the first electric wire grip portion swingably between an attitude along the axis of the rod and an attitude of bending at approximately 90° is provided to the first electric wire grip portion and the one end of the rod, the first connecting means 6 is provided with braking means 25 that applies braking force to a free swing of the grip mechanism, and the second electric wire grip portion is provided with second connecting means 7 that connects a grip mechanism of the second electric wire grip part in the attitude along the axis of the rod. |
