摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam machining device allowing slant machining with small surface roughness in three-dimensional machining and a laser beam machining method.SOLUTION: A laser beam machining device includes a laser radiation mechanism 2 radiating a laser beam L1 to a machining object and capable of scanning it, a position adjustment mechanism 3 holding the machining object to allow adjustment of a relative positional relation of the machining object with the laser beam, and a control part 4 controlling these mechanisms. The laser radiation mechanism has an elliptic beam shaping optical part 6 shaping the beam sectional form of the laser bean into an elliptic form to form an elliptic beam L2 and an elliptic beam rotation optical part 7 rotating the elliptic beam to direct the minor axis of the elliptic form to a predetermined direction. The control part controls to obtain a normal vector on a surface of a machined form in design in a machining region of the machining object to direct the minor axis of the elliptic form toward a direction of an orthographic vector component to a surface vertical to an elliptic beam radiating direction of the normal vector.
