PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of reducing slide resistance at a nip part formed by a fixing belt and a stationary member in an efficient and stable manner without causing fixing failure, even in the case where warm-up time or first-print time is short, and the device is operated at a high speed; and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A sheet-like member 22 impregnated with lubricant is installed to be interposed between a stationary member and a fixing belt over a width direction at a position of a nip part. The sheet-like member 22 has a flow channel 22d formed at the nip part through which lubricant impregnated into one end side in the width direction is moved to the other end side in the width direction by running of the fixing belt.
