PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snout which can continuously prevent ashes from depositing on an inner surface of a snout during operation of a line of a continuous hot-dip plating device, and to provide a method for preventing deposition of ashes in a snout.SOLUTION: A snout 1 of a continuous hot-dip plating device includes: a snout external cylinder 10 of which a tip is immersed into a plating bath 3; a snout internal cylinder 11 supported inside the snout external cylinder 10 so as not to be immersed into the plating bath 3 while being disconnected to the snout external cylinder 10; and a vibrator for vibrating the snout internal cylinder 11.
