<p>The method comprises remelting a surface layer (2) of a rolling bearing carrier (3) using an energy beam such as an electron beam. The surface layer is remelted to a depth of 50 mu m. The component rotates about a rotational axis of the carrier during remelting of the surface layer of the rolling-carrier. The electron beam is deflected, on adjacently arranged portions of the carrier, to a bearing surface over the entire circumference of the carrier and deflected by a respective one of receptions such as spot on which trajectories are formed. The method comprises remelting a surface layer (2) of a rolling bearing carrier (3) using an energy beam such as an electron beam. The surface layer is remelted to a depth of 50 mu m. The component rotates about a rotational axis of the carrier during remelting of the surface layer of the rolling-carrier.
