PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to take an image without missing the best shot, while improving image quality.SOLUTION: The number of vacant banks in a buffer memory is detected (step S106). A scene mode is selected which uses the number of banks equal to or less than the detected number of vacant banks and to which the highest priority order is given (step S107). When determination in step S108 is YES and one of the scene modes is properly selected, determination is made as to whether a shutter key has been operated or not (step S109), and when the shutter key is operated, a CCD 2 is driven and image data of the number of used banks represented by the selected scene mode is captured (step S110). The image data of the captured number is allocated to the vacant memory banks, and image processing and a recording process, such as a pixel addition process, are performed according to the selected scene (step S111). |
