PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine simultaneous misfires in a plurality of cylinders that occur in one cycle, in a gas engine, and to stop supply of fuel gas to minimize the inflow of unburnt fuel gas to an exhaust system, thus preventing combustion in an exhaust passage.SOLUTION: A control apparatus for a gas engine includes a cycle detection means 67 for detecting a crank angle period of one combustion cycle of an engine comprised of a plurality of cylinders on the basis of a crank angle detection value input from a crank angle detector 75, a misfire detection means 69 for detecting a misfire in a main combustion chamber 37 based on an in-cylinder pressure detection value input from an in-cylinder pressure detector 59, and a simultaneous misfire determination means 73 for determining that simultaneous misfires are caused in a plurality of cylinders when a total number in the one combustion cycle of cylinders detected as having caused misfires by the misfire detection means 69 is a preset threshold cylinder number or more, and when simultaneous misfires in a plurality of cylinders in one combustion cycle are determined by the simultaneous misfire detection means 73, fuel gas to all cylinders is shut off. |
