PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that facilitates a recovery process for the apparatus even if conveyance abnormality of a recording sheet occurs, and can achieve a series of printing operations in a short period of time as a whole.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: recording medium feeding means for feeding a recording medium to a prescribed conveyance path; conveyance means for conveying the recording medium, fed from the recording medium feeding means, on the conveyance path; conveyance status detection means, disposed on the conveyance path, for detecting a conveyance status of the recording medium; control means for controlling operations of the recording medium feeding means, the conveyance means, and the conveyance status detection means; and storage means for storing the recording medium. The control means controls feeding of the recording medium with the recording medium feeding means and conveyance of the recording medium with the conveyance means on the basis of detection result by the conveyance status detection means, thereby discharges the recording medium existing in the image forming apparatus to the storage means. |
